Lion Eating Grass!!!

Image
The epic strategy of lions is ever amazing. The lions perfectly know; The power of synergy, no wonder you'll never see a lion hunting alone. Execution strategy determines chances of winning or losing. They single out the weakest and separate it from the rest. Despite their strength they still have enemies and a mistake can cost a life, especially the young ones. In the jungle at times things become really rough, especially when there is drought. The biggest question is,does a lion change it's diet to eating twigs or grasses? In fact at such a point,I guess that is when it goes to hunt even bigger animals! The lion is not wired to eat what other herbivorous eat. It's just a carnivorous! You too are wired in a certain way. With a unique combination. Do you know what you are wired for? I know the idea of eating grass has never crossed the lion's mind. It can die with grass surrounding it. It's just not meant for grass! You are m...

One Only? If Only It Can Be Replayed..

It takes a singular action,word,person,decision,event...for life to just turn around. It could be that one business deal that is going to change your wealth fortune. It could be that one time to be elected in a leadership post that is going to change the country for the better. It could be that innovation that is going to be revolutionary. It took one being,Jesus Christ to bring Christianity to be. Buddha to make Buddhism happen. Mohammad to make Islam happen. Confucius to bring Confucianism Think of Facebook,it took Zuckerberg, Disneyland,it took Walter Disney. Apple and Steve Jobs. The failed Nyayo 1. And yes,it took other stake holders to make it happen, but then,I am sure without them it could not have happened. It's worth noting it took quite a chunk of efforts, time and sacrifice to convince followers and/or customers. On the other hand too,it only takes one to bring down what you've built for ages. Remember what Delilah did to Sol...

Strange Things.

Image
Back in my childhood days there were strange things that used to happen. Every time I was travelling, trees used to run in opposite direction to the vehicle. Some other times they just walked. Clouds were also running too. At night, while on bed and light off,and I am not asleep,I used to see things, creatures and people who were extraordinary, some with strange features, others with were huge than normal.(They must have been imaginery creation of the mind) If, by any chance my sleep 'vacated' (many times it did) I knew it will be a scary moment. In my school life,I was super scared of teachers. They intimidated us(by then it wasn't intimidation,I used to think that is how teachers are,or are supposed to be) They instilled fear left, right and centre(or maybe I was just scared) There was one called 'Stima' (nickname). He 'did not know' how to cane ladies. He drunkard,if you were a boy found with a mistake, mostly noise making, you could sw...

It's Never Enough.

Image
When I was a young boy,way back in primary school,I used to play soccer, and even now, given a chance,I'd still play it.I love it.I used to play till my knees pained, and even when in pain I still limped chasing the ball. Also I never missed watching Harambee Stars play,I literally felt the pain when we lost.It was total anguish. Then I realized I'm hurting myself for nothing. I stopped watching them play, since most of the time they disappointed. Soccer was never enough.  It's never enough.  We eat delicious meals, but if it's not nutritious,or it's poisonous,we will ultimately experience the effects. Now,or in the future. But we will continue getting hungry even after eating a nutritious meal. The stomach can never be full. The glands in the tongue, would prefer all the sweet stuff there is in life. And even though the doctors have warned they are harmful to health,we don't care. For our tongues, keep wanting it,it's never enough.  Yo...

Life Can Turn Around,Always Be Thankful.

For once he is in Kiambu town. Never before had he been here, the furthest he had gone was Paradise Lost.   Randy had wanted to attend a service at an Anglican Church, but the matatu had stopped over severally to drop and pick up passengers along Kiambu Road and by the time he was in Kiambu town, it was some minutes past 11am. He opted not to go for ACK but the quest to fellowship was high. He could hear some people singing and praying nearby. He passed through the open market via one entry and on exiting the other, he saw a tented place of worship. He got in as the usher directed him where to sit. People prayed vehemently as others fell, indicative of being filled with the Holy Spirit. He prayed too. The prayers session was done, one of the leaders introduced the Church as being aligned to 'The only true and last end time prophet (I'm not sure, how truthful that description was). He left. The visiting hours to the hospital were drawing near. He got...

Getting Things Done!

On a Saturday 4:30pm . Randy alighted from the matatu. Way behind the road to take him home, he buys a piece of sugarcane, chopped into small pieces. He gently started walking through a dusty pathway, his eyes on the ground, sugarcane at hand and giving way to people and on coming motorists. He was headed to his 'spot', an open space that gives him a view of the posh places of Kasarani, Thika Road and Githurai. 'Thank God this field has not been grabbed!, he sighed. Though not big, it's enough for kids to play soccer on.  Away from the field, he sat on a stone.  He started chewing the pieces of sugar cane.  The breeze was cool, with a mild sunshine.  It felt amazing. Randy has been coming to this spot almost every weekend. But today was different. Previously, he sentimentally made declarations and affirmations. He is forever challenged by the magnificent property structures. The big question that always rings his mind from this sp...
